I have no obituary for Uncle Tony.
Tony was born on May 1, 1911 in Austin, Mower, Minnesota to Frank and Ruzena "Rose" (Raisler) Krupicka. He died 29 Mar 1991 at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home in Stacyville, Mitchell, Iowa. I believe he had arthritis. He was 79.
Tony worked from a young age to his retirement at the Hormel Packing Plant. He had no formal education. He lived in the home he was raised in all his life and lived with his brother, Lud and family. He never married. Tony and one of his brother's and two sisters were born with a type of speech impediment...also, a niece had this speech problem. I only met Tony a few times so never got to really know my Uncle.
Tony was the 7th of 9 children and he was the last to pass on.
His siblings were: Josephine, Rosi, Ludvig, Julia, John, Rousi, George and Barbara.
His father was an emigrant from Brzotice, Bohemia and his mother a daughter of emigrants from Hresihlavy, Bohemia that settled in Chicago, Illinois. The writer of this story visited and is friends with the owners of the property that Tony's father grew up on in Brzotice. It is owned by Jan Vosicky. It is a very lovely area.
Uncle Tony was laid to rest in the Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, Mower, Minnesota.
