Vera Jane Richards, age 95, of Rigby, Idaho died Thursday, June 26, 2003 at Rigby, Idaho.
Vera was born March 28, 1908 at Warm River, Idaho the daughter of Ezra Sperry Davenport and Martha Arminta Higley Davenport.
She graduated from High School in Shelley, Idaho. She worked at Earl Evan's Drug Store in Idaho Falls, Idaho and later she retired from the I.N.E.L after working as a bus dispatcher for 65 years.
She married Daryl Becker on June 8, 1931 at Rigby, Idaho. They lived in Rigby, Idaho where they owned Becker Shoe Repair and a butane business. They later divorced. She married Lee Judkins at Idaho Falls, Idaho. He preceded her in death. She then married Jim Richards at Idaho Falls, Idaho. They later divorced.
She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and embroidering.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her sisters Evelyn D. Barrie of Ucon, Idaho, Nettie Bartlett of Maridian, Idaho and Elaine D. Saunders of Milwaukee, Oregon. A brother, Clair E. Davenport of Salt Lake City, Utah and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2003 in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main, Rigby) at 11:00 a.m. The family will meet with friends at Eckersell Memorial Chapel on Sunday, June 29, 2003 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel.
