Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Van Deusen lost their little son, eleven weeks old, of pneumonia, early last Saturday morning, and Rev. A. F. Schafer of Kennard conducted the funeral service at their home on the farm at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. He was sick about a week and made a brave fight for one so young, but his lungs gradually filled up and despite the efforts of Dr. Pruner and all, death stole in about 4 o'clock in the morning and claimed the little fellow for its own.
