Edward Bautz, Jr. of Alexandria, VA died on April 7, 2007 at INOVA Mt. Vernon Hospital.Major General U. S. Army. Assitant Chief of Staff, Operations for MACC. Commanding General, 25th Infantry Division, Vietnam. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Majorie Ellen Bautz, Father of Edward William Bautz and Patricia Anne Ranney, brother of Richard Albert Bautz and Donald Joseph Bautz. Also survived by three grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan and Curtiss and one great-grandchild, Fletcher. Friends may call at Demaine Funeral Home, where the family will be present on Tuesday, June 26 from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Funeral services with full military honors will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 10:45 a.am.at Ft. Myer Chapel. interment to follow at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers. it is requested that donations be made in memory of Major General Edward Bautz to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, PO Box 96305, Washington, DC 20090.
