Musician. He was the singer, lead guitarist and founding member of the Southern rock band The Outlaws. In 1975, the band's debut album spent 16 weeks on the charts and led to 11 more releases on Arista Records. He wrote the group's biggest hits, "Hurry Sundown," "There Goes Another Love Song" and "Green Grass and High Tides". When the Outlaws disbanded in the 1990s, Thomasson joined Lynyrd Skynyrd and played for the band until 2005. In 2006, he reformed The Outlaws and recorded the album "Once an Outlaw".
