Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a popular character actor best remembered for his role as MacDonald in the Sci-Fi films "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" (1972) and "Battle for the Planet of the Apes" (1973). His career spanned three decades in both films and television. His other film credits include "Burden of Truth" (1957), "Drums of Africa" (1963), "The Satan Bug" (1965), "Coma" (1978) and "Sharky‘s Machine" (1981). For television, he was a regular on many series such as "Ben Casey", "The Bold Ones: The Protectors", "Cannon", "Roots", "Dynasty" and "Magnum, P.I.". He died at age 59 in Conoga Park, California.
