Loyal to the Crown during the American Revolution, she and her husband and ten of their twelve children emigrated to Upper Canada where they settled in Augusta, Grenville County, Ontario.
Her sons Adoniram, Stephen, Daniel Jr., and Major, and her grandsons Henry and Edmund were all officers in the 2nd Regiment of Grenville Militia during the War of 1812.
