Sylva - Love Bumgarner Kilpatrick, 98, of Fairview Road, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at Mountain Trace Nursing Center after an extended illness.
A native of Jackson County, she was a retired waitress. The daughter of the late Oscar Minnie Numm Bumarner, and was preceded in death by her husbands, J. Floyd Ownes, who died in 1944, and also Grover Kilpatrick, who died in 1996; two daughters, Jeannie Owens and Love Louise Lemmond.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Whitaker, of Oak Habor, Wash., and Carolyn Courtright and husband, Dr. John, of Cadiz, Ky.; son, James Owens, of Whittier; sister, Ila B. Henson, of Sylva; 11 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren.
The funeral and burial will be held at a later date at Love's Chapel United Methodist Church, of which she was a member.
