Mr. Sieve died Saturday at Hill Haven Convalescent Hospital in Topeka. He was born July 11, 1908, in Wilmont, Minn.
Mr. Sieve worked for several years as a security officer for Montgomery Ward in Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Kansas City, Kan., and he moved to Lawrence from Kansas City, Kan., in 1978.
He was married to Isabel Glick, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include four sisters, Clara Sieve and Mathilda Petesch, both of Lawrence, Josephine Schroers, Bellevue, Wash., and Olivia Beaubien, Liberty, Mo.; and three brothers, Frank Sieve, Drexel, Mo., Albert Sieve, Valley Falls, and Larry Sieve, Kansas City, Mo.
