OBITUARY:
"Della CORMIER, age 92, the former Della COMEAUX, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2006 at 9:15 AM at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas.

Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Bill MELANCON, pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

She was a native of Scott and a resident of Carencro all her life. She was a member of the St. Peters Church Bonne Mort Society, the St. Anne Society and the Ladies Altar Society.

Survivors include one son, Elton CORMIER, Jr. and his wife Mary Jo of Carencro, three brothers, Whitney COMEAUX of Arnaudville, Albert COMEAUX and his wife Annie of Cankton and Clayton COMEAUX and his wife Elsie of Raceland. Three sisters, Anna [COMEAUX] QUEBEDEAUX of Bayou Vista, Ernestine [COMEAUX] BROUSSARD of Duson and Delores [COMEAUX] FOLSE and her husband Daniel of Raceland. Four grandsons, Larry James CORMIER, David CORMIER and his wife Tommie, Colby CORMIER and his wife Shawna and Lance Adrian CORMIER and two great granddaughters, Deavon CORMIER and Dori CORMIER.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton CORMIER, Sr., one daughter Cecile Sybile CORMIER, three brothers, Daley COMEAUX, Caliste COMEAUX and Euby COMEAUX and one sister, Beulah [COMEAUX] STELLY.

Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.
