Anastasia "Stacie" Jaditz, 18, of Clarks Summit, died Thursday from injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident in the North Pocono area.
Born April 28, 1984, in Kansas City, Mo., daughter of Dr. Stephen G. and Mary Beth LaRue Jaditz, Clarks Summit, she was a 2002 graduate of Scranton Preparatory School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was currently a freshman at the University of Scranton, where she received the Loyola Academic Scholarship. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church, Clarks Summit. An accomplished equestrian, she was the 2001 Pennsylvania State 4-H Working Hunter champion.
She loved to dance and studied with Miss Joan Manzie, Clarks Summit. She also taught dance at Miss Joan's studio and loved to encourage her young pupils in celebrating their accomplishments. She was beautiful, talented and loving, and showered her love on her family and friends.
Also surviving are a brother, Stephen H., Chicago, Ill.; her maternal grandparents, John and Betty LaRue, Scranton; paternal grandparents, Theodore and Eve Jaditz, Clarks Summit; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Anastasia Jaditz Memorial Scholarship was established in 2006 in memory of Anastasia "Stacie" Jaditz.
