father of John Wanamaker [1838-1922], founder of John Wanamaker Department Stores of Philadelphia, New York and Paris

upon his death was initially interred at Chambersburg, PA - then on 22nd October 1869 the body was brought to Philadelphia and re-interred at the present spot
