GREELEY, Colo. -- Delene M. Goering, 68, of Greeley, Colo., died Thursday (Aug. 5, 1999) at Hospice of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit, Greeley Hospital in Greeley.
She was born Nov. 22, 1930, in Moundridge to Otto J. and Marie (Schrag) Waltner. She married Vernon D. Goering Aug. 14, 1952, in Moundridge. He survives of Greeley.
She had lived in Greeley for 29 years, having moved from Moundridge. She was a retired Kodak employee in Windsor, Colo., and was a member of the Greeley Mennonite Church.
Other survivors include: one son, Rick D. Goering of Whitewater, Colo.; one daughter, Lori A. Meabon of Eaton, Colo.; two brothers, Orville Waltner of Moundridge and Glen Waltner of Denver; three sisters, Marjean Stucky and Luene Flickinger, both of Moundridge, and Marian Spencer of Wichita; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Waltner.
Funeral services were Tuesday at Eden Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge with Pastors Ron Roth and Lee Lever officiating. Burial was in Eden Church Cemetery.
