DIED - In New Orleans, La., at 6:50 o'clock Sunday evening, JAMES ORR CLIFTON BURNS, aged 8 years and 9 months, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Burns.
Mr. and Mrs. Burns took their little boy to the sanitarium in New Orleans, on last Saturday, to be treated for an injury to his foot, which threatened tetanus. He ran a piece of wire into his foot a week previous, and the wound became inflamed and dangerous.
While everything possible was done for him at the sanitarium, his life could not be saved, and he died Sunday evening after much suffering. The remains were brought to Covington Monday and interned in the cemetery.
The body was borne to the grave by pall bearers chosen from among his school mates.
