She was BORN 3/30/1861 in Fedor, TX. to M/M. Andrew Melde. Her pastor, Rev. John Kilian, baptized her. On 3/25/1877, Pastor G. Kilian confirmed her. Married Ernest Kieschnick on 6/22/1880 by Pastor Misch. 11 children were born to this union, 4 children and her husband preceded her in death.

SURVIVORS: 6 sons, Alvin and Henry, both of Giddings, Sam of San Antonio, (only 3 sons named); Mrs. Ella Schoener of Thorndale, "a kind word should be said that she certainly proved to be a dutiful and faithful daughter inasmuch as she lived with and waited on her mother from 1918 to 1951"; 5 daughters-in-law; 1 son-in-law; 33 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 brothers, John Melde of Thorndale and Herman Melde of Bishop; sister, Mrs. Lena Wuensche of Wilson; 2 half-brothers, Oswald and Reinhard Melde; 4 half-sisters, Mrs. Pauline Zesche, Mrs. Anna Fischer, Mrs. Martha Wolf, and Mrs. Alma Falke.
