Funeral services for Maxine Neely Brown, age 66, of Bastrop, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2004, at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Allan Eppinette officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday at Golden's from 5-9 p.m. Mrs. Brown, a retired restaurant owner and member of Harmony Baptist Church, died Friday June 11, 2004. She is survived by two daughters, Debi Brown of Bastrop and Lori Brown Jackson & husband Keith of Atlanta, GA; one son, Steve Brown & wife Kim Buffington of Bastrop; two sisters, Geneva Mattice & husband Skip of Bastrop and Jean Weddle & husband Paul of Bastrop; two brothers, Don Nealy & wife Beatrice of Bastrop and Mike Nealy & wife Beverly of Bastrop; three grandchildren, Jamie Leigh Sisk, Brittany Buffington, and Falon Olivia Brown. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther E. Brown; mother, Hazel Hightower; and father, George Nealy. Pallbearers will be Paul David Weddle, Gary Mattice, Todd Mattice, Anthony Griffith, Randy Hickman and Tommy Robinson.
