He was BORN in Milam Co. on 1/30/1869, the son of the late George and Mary Jones. Married Miss Sarah K. Hayslip on 9/8/1889 at Beaukiss. They had 10 children, 9 survive. He had lived near Thorndale until 8 years ago when he moved to Alvin. He was the grandfather of W.F. Scroggins of the Conoley Comm.
