Russell M. Ater, 68, of Crooksville Route 2, a retired Columbia Cement Company employee, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday following an apparent heart attack while at Crooksville Bank.
He was born Aug. 6, 1906, in Perry County.
Mrs. Ater was a member of Crooksville Fraternal Order of Eagles and Knights of Pythias.
Surviving are a son, Melvin (Perk) Ater of 1223 Wheeling Avenue; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Louise) Duffy of Crooksville and Mrs. Cyril (Cora Belle) Knight of Adamsville Road.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Chute-Wiley Funeral Home at New Lexington. Burial will be in Crooksville Cemetery.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Eagles Lodge will hold services at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
