DEATH OF MR. FINCHER.
He Passes Away After an Illness of Several Weeks.

Mr. Levi J. Fincher died yesterday evening at 7:30, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M. E. Alexander, 707 North Davidson Street, after an illness of three weeks. He was 65 years old and for 40 years had been a resident of Charlotte. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a native of Anson county. For four years he fought in the civil war and was wounded twice. He is a member of Mecklenburg Camp.

The funeral service will be conducted from the house to-day at 3 o'clock by Rev. Dr. A. C. Barron and Rev. L. R. Pruett. The pall-bearers will be: Messrs. J. B. Coper, A. E. Cogbill, I. W. Durham, J. C. Glenn, J. P. Ritch and W. M. Lyles.

His remains will be interred at Elmwood. The Confederate veterans, friends and acquaintances are invited to attend the funeral exercises.
