JACKSON WATTS
Jackson M. Watts, 88, of Pine Bluff died September 6, 1997, at Sunchase
Nursing Home.

Born February 14, 1909, at Pontotoc, Mississippi, he was the son of the late
Robert D. Watts and Elizabeth L. Hardin Watts.

He was reared and received his early education in Pine Bluff after moving
from Pontotoc with his parents in 1910.

He married Audrey Alice Walker on February 16, 1929, at Pine Bluff.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

He was a member of Christian Life Church.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 79.

He retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal in 1960 with 20 years of service.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jo Watts in1968 and a brother,
Harry M. Watts.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Audrey Watts, a son, Robert Jackson
Watts of Houston; a daughter, Helen Brookshire of Pine Bluff; a brother,
Hilburn Watts of Oklahoma City; a sister, Roberta Gray of Pine Bluff; six
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Ralph Robinson and Son
Funeral Directors with the Rev. Bill Kiggins officiating. Burial will be in
Memorial Park Cemetery.
