He married Sarah Eliz. Catherine "Katie" Harlow 17 October, 1906, at Franklin, IN. "Katie" Harlow Miller's father, William Lloyd Harlow, was born 13 October, 1849, in Kentucky. He died 25 September, 1901, at Franklin. Katie Harlow Miller's mother, Margaret Isabelle Snow, was born 11 July, 1852, at Scott Co., IN. She died 27 October, 1928, at Franklin, IN. Both are buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin.
Charles and Katie Harlow Miller grew up on farms. After their marriage, they farmed near Trafalgar, Johnson Co., IN. They later moved back to Franklin, where he worked at a desk factory.
For many years, Katie Miller was matron in charge of the Franklin city park playground. Small in stature, but big in "spunk", she carried a whistle around her neck, which she "tooted" very loudly when she saw children misbehave. Even the teenaged boys soon learned that she "meant business", and they meekly fell in line.
Charles R. Miller died 20 July, 1942. Katie Miller died 13 November, 1956. Both are buried at Greenlawn Cemetery at Franklin.
