US Congressman. Elected to represent Maryland's 2nd District in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1943 to 1947. He also served as a Member of the Maryland State House of Delegates from 1931 to 1933, and as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention from Maryland in 1940, and again, in 1944. He died from a cerebral hemorrhage at the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. (bio by: K)
