Died at 8 o'clock Friday evening, July 12,1912, at her home, 511 South Eight St, Mrs. Harriet Winston, aged 84 years. Mrs. Winston was the widow of the late James A. Winston, who was a well known public man and a Democratic politician, who died in this city in 1900. She had lived in the home in South Eight Street for the last forty-five years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
Her maiden name was Harriet Baker. She was born in Louisville, Ky. May 18,1828. She was married to James A Winston in 1862. She had been in failing health for some time
Decedent leaves five sons, Miller of Sidney, James Melgar, Bryant, George and Louis A. Winston and two daughters, Mrs. Julia A. Cloyd of Morrisonville and Mrs. Mary E Raymond of Girard, Ks.
