(Headstone) The Reverend Mr. Lemuel Hedge, Decd. 1777.
(Monument) In memory of Mr. Rev. Lemuel Hedge, the first Minister of the Church of Christ in Warwick, who died October 15th 1777 in the 17th year of his ministry [?] [?] [?]. In private life he was cheerful exemplary and benevolent. In his Ministerial character, faithful, solemn and instructive in full belief of the truths he preached to others, he fell asleep in Jesus with the Christian hope of riseing again to eternal life.
This monument was erected by his affectionate children 1801 [1807?].
