Obituary: The Eagle Democrat - Thursday, May 7, 1953 (front page) -- "Mrs. Carter Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Mollie Elizabeth Moseley Carter, wife of Judge T. A. Carter, died at 3 a.m. Saturday in the Bradley County Memorial Hospital. She was 78 and had been in bad health for a number of years. A daughter of Jesse and Jane Moseley, pioneer settlers in north Bradley County, she was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church. Survivors included her husband; six sons, Oliver and Orland Carter of Warren; Leonard Carter of Little Rock; Edward Carter of Shreveport, La.; Clyde Carter of Stuttgart, and Marvin Carter of Springdale; four daughters, Mrs. Jesse Little of Strong; Mrs. J. G. Murry of Fordyce; Mrs. J. T. Eliff of Kansas City, Mo., and Miss Emily Carter of Warren.
"Funeral services for Mrs. Carter were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Moseley cemetery with Rev. Otis Reddin, Rev. L. B. Moseley, Rev. Harold Cooper and Rev. Carl Wheeler officiating. Interment was by Frazer Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Dr. Hugh Moseley, Jr., Virgil Hodges, Gordon Moseley, Rex Moseley, Martin Moseley, Brent Wade and Wheeler Finch."
