Mrs James D. Wray 56 years of 431 West Market died at 5 o'clock Thursday at Stouder Hospital where she had been a patient for 17 days. Formerly Elizabeth Hobbs, the daughter of the late Timothy and Nancy Hobbs, she was a member of the Honeycreek Baptist Church. Funeral Services at First Baptist Church Troy, Saturday 2 o'clock. Rev. A.M. Dixon, Burial at Honeycreek Cemetery. Surviving are 2 sons, John and Thomas, a daughter Nancy Lacey of Casstown, step-son Charles, 3 brothers Squire T. Hobbs of Fletcher, Elisha of Mason County, West Virginia, Doctor Franklin Hobbs of Troy. 4 sisters, Mrs. J.E. Gise, Mrs. Pearl Siders of West Milton, Mrs. Nancy Casey of New Carlisle, and Mrs. Iva Fowler of Marysville.

She helped raise Charles and Mary Frances Wray, children of James D. And Cynthia Pore Wray. His first wife burned to death while cooking dinner. Her long dress caught fire.
