Mr. John L. Carroll, 73, of 4012 Baymeadows Road, died Tuesday, December 8, 1987. He was a native of Carrabelle, Fla., and had resided here most of his life. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the Barnett Lodge No. 187 F&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, and Morocco Temple of the Shrine. Survivors include 2 daughters, Catherine Carroll Castagno and Barbara Jo Davis; 3 sons, LaFay Gene, Benny A. and Michael I. Carroll; sister, Fay Minshew; brother, Albert Carroll; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday in the George H. Hewell and Son Northside Funeral Home, with Bishop Robert M. Egan officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 pm until 8 pm Thursday evening at the Funeral Home.
