Christopher H. Conley, 86, of 2535 Winter Street, died at 8:45 p.m. yesterday at the Lutheran Hospital, where he had been a patient eight days.
Born in West Virginia, he had lived here 38 years, and retired in 1947 as an engineer for the Pennsylvania Railroad after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Eastwood Chapel, the Summit City Masonic Lodge and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers. He was a past president of the BLFE.
Surviving are his wife, Edith E.; two daughters, Mrs. Alma Farnham and Mrs. Reland Sheets, Fort Wayne; a stepson, Rev. Forest Weddle, Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Chalfant-Perry Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
