Billeter, Jerry M. age 81 of Paden City died Monday-August 13, 2007 in Wheeling Medical Park.

Jerry was born August 4, 1926 in Paden City the son of the late Leon and Lavina Patterson Billeter.

He was a self-employed Barber for 61 years; a member of American Legion Post 86 of Paden City; VFW Post 6327 of Sistersville; Moose Lodge #931 of New Martinsville; a 1944 graduate of Sistersville High School; served 2 years as a WW II Navy Veteran; attended WVU for one year, where he was a member of Phi Sig; attended The Moller System Of College in Wheeling; an avid sport fan and Antique Glass Collector and a member Paden City Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Billeter in 2003.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Billeter; four sons, Joe Billeter of Palm Bay, Fl, Jerry "Steve" (Pam) Billeter of Paden City, Glen (Anita) Tarbett of Paden City, Jim (Cheryl) Blatt of Friendly, WV; daughter, Ilene Harlan of Paden City; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends received 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday-August 15, 2007 at the Jarvis Funeral Home, Paden City. Jerry will lie in state from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Christian Church, 105 East Main Street, Paden City with Evangelist Ron Crowe officiating.

Interment Paden Memorial Gardens, Paden City.

Full Military Service will be conducted by American Legion Post 86 of Paden City, American Legion Post 28 of New Martinsville, American Legion Post 87 of Sistersville and VFW 6327 of Sistersville.

Memorials may be made in Jerry's name to the Paden City Museum, 108 West Main Street, Paden City, WV 26159.
