Sherwood Locust of Porum, Oklahoma passed away June 29, 2007 in Porum at the age of 78. He was born March 10, 1929 in Onapa, Oklahoma to William "Bill" and Mattie Collins Locust.

Sherwood is survived by;
His wife: Ineecie (Muskrat) Locust of 56 years

Mattie Tiger of Shawnee
Rosanna Locust- Bass and friend, Thomas Barnett of Glenpool
Sandra Weaver and husband Steve of Catoosa
Sarah Pulse and husband Mike of Skiatook

Jimmy Locust and wife Anne of Porum

Two sisters:
Ethel "Dolly" Locust of Portland, Oregon
Mary Watashe of Tulsa

Two brothers:
Woodrow Locust of New Berlin, Wisconsin
William Day Locust of Tulsa

23 grandchildren:
Janie Hilderbrand, Ronnie Ray Locust, Joseph A. Bass, Joshua Locust, Tofa Locust, Justin Garrett, Nancy Tiger, Melissa Weaver, Jeremy Pulse, Nicoma Tiger, Robyn Locust, Russell Locust, Shareena Pulse, Lindsey Weaver, Ryan Locust, Silas Tiger, Jhoneecie "Joni" Pulse, Randall Locust, Kaynan "Chief" Pulse, Rachel Garrett, Katy Jones, Tracy Wise, and Feather Dixon

Sherwood was preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Ronnie and Robin Locust, one daughter, Nancy Locust, one sister, Rosella Locust, and three brothers, Jessie, Andrew, and Willie Locust.

Graveside Service were held 2 pm Monday, July 2, 2007 at Cramp Cemetery with Rev. Notchie Twist and Rev. Roger Davis officiating under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory.

Pallbearers were all grandsons;
Jeremy Pulse, Justin Garrett, Joseph Bass, Russell Locust, Ronnie Ray Locust, Nicoma Tiger, Joshua Locust
