Marie M. Pettit, 79, of Blair, died Sunday at an Omaha Hospital

Mrs. Pettit was born on July 17, 1905, in Kennard and lived in he Blair-Kennard area her entire life. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard.

Mrs. Pettit was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Pettit. The couple was married on Nov. 2, 1935, in Papillion.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Glen (Betty) Vogt, of rural Arlington; one son, James, of St. Joseph, MO; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lester Rosenbaum of Blair and Merritt Rosenbaum of Omaha; and three sisters, Gladys Dickmeyer of Arlington, Selma Allison of Decatur, and Helena Andreasen of Fremont.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. The Rev. Russell Saltzman will officiate.

Visition is until 9 tonight and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair and from noon to 2 p.m. in the church. Burial will be at the Kennard Cemetery.
