The funeral of Mrs. Watson Hain, mention of whose death was made in last week’s Enterprise, was conducted from the Methodist church in this city on last Friday, Jan. 13, Rev. J. A. Johnson the pastor, had charge of the service.

Olive Jeannette Finch was born near Fort Hays, Kansas Jan. 3, 1892, and passed away in Omaha, Nebraska Jan. 11, 1922. She came to Nebraska with her parents when about 3 years old, living near Lincoln, Nebraska.

After the death of her mother, she lived with a brother in Colorado until 18 years old.

In 1916 she was married to Watson Hain, who with his daughter Dorothy, a stepdaughter of the deceased, six brothers, two sisters and many other relatives survive.

It has been reconstructed today, and is located at 1472 US Highway 183 Alt. An old description placed its location on the trail ​1⁄4 mile south of the confluence of Big Creek and the North Fork of Big Creek in western Kansas. Fort Hays was an important U.S. Army post that was active from 1865 until 1889. General Custer served there at one time.--internet sources.
