US Vice-President. Brigadier General during the Revolutionary War. He served as Governor of New York 1777-1795 and 1801-1804. Clinton was Vice President of the United States 1805-1812. He served under Jefferson and Madison. He was the first Vice President to die in office. Clinton was originally buried in Washington, D.C.
