Danny James Ysen, formerly of International Falls, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at his home in St. Paul.
A complete obituary will be announced when arrangements have been completed.
Arrangements are with Green-Larsen Mortuary Inc., International Falls.
Danny James Ysen, age 54 formerly of International Falls, MN, died on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at his home in St. Paul, MN.
He was born on March 12, 1953 at Bagley Memorial Hospital in Bagley, MN.
In his high school years, he was a defenseman for the International Falls Broncos and a pitcher for the Bronco baseball team. Danny graduated in the class of 1971 and later attended Ames Iowa State University. He later enlisted in the United States Air force where he served for a couple of years before being honorably discharged.
Danny was employed at Boise Cascade before the closure of the Insulite Division; during those years he enjoyed playing for a Men's Fast Pitch baseball team and was on a mixed bowling team with family members.
He relocated to St. Paul, Mn in 1985 and began working at EcoLab in Eagan, MN.
Danny remained close with many of his classmates and enjoyed any opportunities to go fishing with them or just catching up. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, family barbeques, fishing, four-wheeling and good times held at the Ysen hunting shack near Ericsburg.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Survivors include his parents, brother & sister-in-law, sister and (God-Daughter), and sister and brother-in-law, also survived by 8 nieces and nephews, three great-nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who were all very special to him.
Danny touched the lives of his family and the numerous friends he had. He will be missed greatly.
A memorial service for Danny will be held at the Faith United Church in International Falls, Minnesota on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
Interment to follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery, International Falls.
