Mary I. Stillabower, 90, formerly of R. R. 1, Waldron, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Waldron HealthCare Center.

She had been a member of the Lewis Creek Baptist Church.

A daughter of William and Katherine (Coy) Milnes, she was born Aug. 29, 1899, in Bartholomew County. She was married Aug. 24, 1921, to Roscoe Stillabower, who preceded her in death on May 2, 1949.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Itha Kuhn, R.R. 6 Shelbyville; sons, Carrol Stillabower, R.R. 1, Waldron, and Merrill Stillabower, R.R. 5, Shelbyville; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. One son and two brothers preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home, 232 W. Broadway, with the Rev. James Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

SHELBYVILLE -- Mary I. Stillabower, 90, formerly of Route 1 Waldron, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Waldron Health Care Center.

She was a member of Lewis Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral will be conducted by the Rev. James Bridges at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Carmony-Ewing Funeral Home, 232 W. Broadway Street, Shelbyville, where calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Born Aug. 29, 1899, in Bartholomew County, she was the daughter of William T. and Katherine Coy Milnes. She married Roscoe Stillabower on Aug. 24, 1921. He died May 2, 1949.

Surviving are a daughter, Itha Kuhn of Route 5 Shelbyville; sons, Carrol D. Stillabower of Route 1, Waldron, and Merrill L. Stillabower of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
