Information from family member (Bill - Find-A-Grave contributor (#47169641) states: Manley was born 31 OCT 1801 east of the mountains before father George moved back to Harrison county in 1822.

Manley reportedly constructed the log church building for the 2nd church in upper Tenmile district, Mount Morris Methodist Episcopal church with a cemetery in 1837 where his parents George and Mary were buried, also operated "The Traveler's Inn at Turkey Fork" (Morris Inn) folowing northwest pike construction (now U S Hwy #50) in the mid 1830s, ~ ~ until the railroad was built twenty years later, which also uprooted the church and cemetery where his parents were first interned in c1837 & c1840 which was relocated and renamed Maken, Point Pleasant M E church and cemetery, abandoned in 1964.
