EDEN - Betty Matthews Bailey, 68, formerly of Peach Road, died early Wednesday morning, August 30, 2006, at the Brian Center.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bailey was born December 19, 1937, to the late Ralph and Mary Rose Matthews. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are step-son, David Bailey of Reidsville, son, Joe Bailey, Jr. and wife, Sarah of Mayodan; daughters, Cynthia Compton and husband, Teddy, Cathy Vipperman and husband, Ronnie, all of Stoneville; brothers, Ralph Matthews of Tarboro and Robert Matthews of Reidsville; sister, Nancy Ratliff of Pensacola, Fla.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jack Matthews.
