Lillian Margaret Anderson Hillyard, 77, of Charles Town, WV, passed away on July 25, 2007, in Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, WV.

Born in Towanda, PA, April 9, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Ms. Mildred Jane Anderson. Mrs. Hillyard attended Wysox School in Pennsylvania. As a teenager, she moved to Ithaca, NY, where she met and married Carl Jay Hillyard. After birthing five children, the family moved to Genoa, NY, and later to Orlando and Forest City, FL. During the prime of Lillian's life, she moved to Simpsonville, SC, where she lived for 20 years. She moved back north during her golden years to Martinsburg and Charles Town, WV. Lillian enjoyed flower gardening and making specialty cakes. Even after retiring from National Cash Register and Vermont American, Lillian enjoyed working part-time well into her 70s. Lillian was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be dearly missed, never forgotten and whose memory we will always treasure.

Mrs. Hillyard is survived by a daughter, Sandra Montgomery of Gray Court; four sons, James Hillyard of Martinsburg, WV, Steven Hillyard of Clearbrook, Va, David Hillyard of Gray Court, and Donald Hillyard of Log Cabin, TX; two brothers, Charles and Francis Lampshere; two sisters, Diana Reeves and Edna Sluyter; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother; three brothers, George, Benjamin and John Lamphere; a sister, Bertha Patton; a grandson, Donald Montgomery; and a great-granddaughter, Arin Hillyard.
