Aged Resident Succumbs
Following Paralytic Stroke
Suffering a paralytic stroke a week ago Tuesday afternoon, when she fell in the kitchen of her home here, the third one within the past year, Mrs. Elizabeth Oller, 81, succumbed at 4'oclock Friday afternoon. Never robust, Mrs. Oller had been in failing health since the Griffin tornado in 1925 when her home collapsed and she suffered severe shock and other injuries.
Quite by nature, she preferred to remain at home which she loved, finding her enjoyment in her children, who were devoted to her and in the performance of household duties well done.
Mrs. Oller was the daughter of George and Suzan Elder and was born July, 19 1851, in Grayson County, Ky. She was united in marriage to Joseph Oller April 16, 1871. She was a member of the Christian church of Caneyville, Ky., uniting with the church in early girlhood.
Funeral services were hell at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the late residence and were in charge of the Rev. L. H. Graham.. Burial was in the Poseyville cemetery.
Surviving are three son, John and Ed of this place, Grover, of Chicago, and three daughters, Mrs. Fred Moore, of Indianapolis, Mrs. Arthur Bell, of Ownesville, and Mrs. Harold Warpenburg, of Poseyville and one sister, Mrs. J. H. Brydon, of Martinsville, Ill.
Those from out of town attending the funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Oller Monday afternoon were Mrs. Edwin Galbreath, Mrs. Joe Stallings, Mrs. Charles Williams, Mrs. Loren Rachels, Mrs. Fannie Lamar, Misses Anna and Clara Schnarr, Mrs. Clifford Stoneberger, Mrs. Margaret Keeling, Mrs. Verne Comton. Mrs. Maud Majors, Mr. And Mrs. Manford Hein and Fred Galbreath, all of Griffin, Mr. And Mrs. John Kuebler, of Evansville, and Mrs. Tom Tillett, of Grayville, Ill, Mrs. Roy Robb, of Stewartsville an d Mr. O. V. Muck, of Cynthiana.
