Katherine Truman was the oldest child and first daughter of Julia Euzell Crandall and Mica Spencer Truman. Katherine married Stanley M. Simmons March 14, 1916 and divorced. He like the bottle and she didn't care for it. She next married John Henry Stephens abt 1922. She attending nursing school in Salt Lake City for a period of time. She had two children with Stanley named, Stanley and Evelyn and two children with John named, Stuwart & Jean who we called, "Little Jean"

Evelyn looked very much like her grandmother Julia Euzell.

Kate got sick and came to Huntington. Katherine died of pneumonia just shy of her 37th birthday at Huntington. Stanley and Evelyn were basically raised by their Truman Grandparents and Stuwart and Little Jean spent some time with Kate's parents and then their father took them back and Stuwart was never seen again. Little Jean wanted to know her half siblings and met with Evelyn one time.
