| Birth: | Mar. 4, 1892 Schell City Vernon County Missouri, USA | | Death: | Aug. 8, 1967 Enid Garfield County Oklahoma, USA | Great Grandma Maggie was a hard worker and always gave her best at everything she did in life never once complained about the harsh weather and climate here in Oklahoma. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who believed that family was the greatest purpose of life. Maggie came to Indian Territory very young with her father and mother from Vernon County, Missouri and her family settled for a few years to the South-East of Pawnee, Oklahoma building a sod house for shelter.
Maggie's father moved the family from Pawnee to South of Perkins, Oklahoma to find better farm land on the banks and flood plains of the Cimarron River and raised good crops on this land and this is how great grandma was to meet her husband John Thomas Buffington who was working the land close to her father's farm they soon married and raised many children together. Maggie always loved the spring here in Oklahoma because of the beautiful wildflowers and the redbud trees. Family links: Parents: Rolley J.
