DEATH NOTICE: Brown County World - May 17, 1907

Miss Josie Stickle died at her home near Padonia Saturday, May 11, of consumption. She had been sick for some time and had been confined to the house 6 months. The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Padonia Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Mr. McGuire, a former minister of Morrill, but now of Waterville, Kan. Burial was made in the Padonia Cemetery. Miss Stickle had lived on the home farm near Padonia since 1869, and was a devoted worker in the Methodist Church. She leaves two sisters, Miss Rate Stickle, of Padonia, Mrs. Angie Hull of Springfield, Mo., and one brother, A.R. Stickle.
