Keith, James: From Scotland. Born, 1696. Kings Bounty Va., March 4,1728/29. Minister, Henrico Parish, Henrico County, 1730 and prior to 1733, when he resigned. (Henrico Vestry Book, p.16.) Dr.Brock quotes Perry as saying he went to Maryland. But it would seem to be the same who married Mary Isham Randolph, of Tuckahoe, and was minister of Hamilton Parish, Prince William County (later Fauquier), in 1736, (See Hist. Truro Parish, p.12), and was there until his death, probably about 1757. (Meade, II, 207-216; Perry, 358.) But Govenor Gooch says he went to Maryland "with his guilt" in November, 1734. (Va. Hist.
