Logan was Lincoln's second law partner. He was elected judge of the circuit court but gave this up for a very lucrative law practice. In addition, Logan served 4 terms in the state legislature & was a member of the State Constitutional Convention of 1847. He is buried with his wife America & his daughter Sally, who was the wife of Ward Hill Lamon, Lincoln's friend of the Eighth Circuit & personal bodyguard in Washington. (bio by: Connie Nisinger)
