Father Edwin James Guild, O.M.I., was a member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, a religious order of priests and brothers. The Oblates dedicate their lives to the service of the world's most forgotten and abandoned people and have spread the message and love of Christ through many spiritual and charitable works. Father Guild founded the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in 1958. Our Lady of the Snows is one of the largest outdoor Shrines in North America.
