VISTA — L. Kermit Matthews, 66, of 139 Hillside Ter., Vista, died Sunday at a local hospital. He was a salesman for a hardware firm before his retirement.
Born Aug. 17, 1902, in Grantsville, Utah, he came to Vista a year ago from Corona. He was a member of Temescal Lodge 314, F&AM, Corona.
Surviving are his wife, Lee; a daughter, Carollee Krueger of Torrance; his father, Morris Matthews of Utah; a sister and three brothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Vista Chapel Mortuary. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Vista Ward, will officiate. Burial will be in Eternal Hills Cemetery, Oceanside.
