Cynthia Ann Flenniken was born 13 Sept 1828 in Maury County, Tennessee. She was one of eight girls born to Robert Flenniken and his wife Mary "Polly" Reasonover. Cynthia and her sister, Parthenia Caroline married brothers Joshua and Elijah Mack Turner in Tennessee. Presumably they moved together from Tennessee to Texas. Cynthia and Joshua had five confirmed children: Mary Frances, John, Sarah "Sally", Wiley and Rosetta Paralee "Settie" Turner.
