Birth: Oct. 11, 1834
Death: May 22, 1901

Co A 78th IL Infantry, h/o Margaret Woods Dark
He was born was born in Franklin Township, Harrison county, Ohio. He married 1)Sarah McCoy, 2) Mrs. Margaret Wood Dark
BF White departed thsis life on May 22, 1901 which is the the thrid anniversary of his brother Warner's death. He was stopping for a time at the home of his brother W.P. White of Brooklyn, ILL., and while at the woodyard about 4:30pm without a moments warning he was stricken. He was discovered about five minutes later, but was dead. The deceased was born Oct 11, 1834 in Harrison County, Ohio, and came to Illinois in 1858. In August, 1862, he enlisted in Co. A, 78 IL Inf., and on account of disability, recieved an honorable discharge at Bridgeport, Alabama in September 1863.
He was twice married. First to Miss Sarah McCoy, but about one year later death deprived him of this compaionship. One child, which died in infancy was the fruit of this union.
His second marriage occurred Oct 11, 1870 to Mrs. Margret Dark with whom he lived about one year when death again beraved him of his companion. To them two sons were born -Frank L. and John R. The daughter, Lovetta, who became Mrs. Oscar Aulgur, died two years ago.
The two sons and a step daughter, Mrs. Jno Ruckles of Macomb are left parentless, but not comfortless. Thier father was a Christian. Early in the year 1878, Brother White was converted in the Bethel (White Oak) Church, Brooklyn Township, and united with the M.E. Church. His sudden death deprived us of last words of assurance, but his life bore ample testimony to his fitness to inherit the mansion which our Savior has prepared for those who love him.
The funeral services were conducted from the Bethel M.E. Church by his pastor Rev. A. H. Hoffer, after the interment was made in the Bethel (White Oak) cemetery by the side of his wife, Margret and daughter in the presence of a large company of sympathizing friends and neighbors.
