Mr. Finis Edwards, 86, of Muldrow, OK., died Friday, April 13, 2007, in Fort Smith, AR. Mr. Edwards was born to Grover Cleveland Edwards and Mary Frances (Essie) McGehee Edwards. He married Bessie Louise Ross, Feb. 23, 1944 in Gans, OK. He was a retired Sears and Roebuck employee. He retired in 1974. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie of the home; one Daughter, Pat Vaughn of Muldrow; one Son and Daughter-n-law, Larry and Charlotte Edwards of Muldrow; four Grandchildren, Lisa Laney, Jerry Dale Bledsoe, Vince Edwards and Misty Bynum; five great-grandchildren; Patrick, James and Makayla Bledsoe, Brayson Laney and Ashton Dean; a niece they raised, Sheila Hudson of the home; and several nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Hayden Dean, one brother, Jack Edwards, one sister, Audrey Sharp and his parents.
Pallbearers were Larry Laney, Cheek McGehee, Rick Sharp, Scott Sharp, Ferrell McGehee and Vince Edwards.
Funeral was 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2007, at First Assembly of God Church in Muldrow, with burial at Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow, OK.
