Marriage 1 to Caroline SEYMOUR 19 Sep 1775 Hertingfordbury, Hertfordshire.

Caroline died March 1821.

Marriage 2 to Anne Holwell GATER 5 Jan 1822 Exeter, Devonshire.

Exeter and Plymouth Gazette, Saturday 14 December 1833, Page 2, Died

At Swinton Park, Yorkshire, on the 4th inst., in the 82nd year of his age, William Danby, Esq. He was a gentleman well known in the Literary world, as a talented classical scholar, and the author of several works of interest in moral philosophy, &c. He was strictly pious, without ostentation, and his benevolence was unbounded — his virtues in all the relations of social and domestic life will be long cherished and remembered with esteem by his surviving relatives and a large circle of friends.

Globe, Tuesday 17 December 1833, Page 3

On Friday last the remains of the late William Danby, Esq., were removed from Swinton Park, and deposited in the family vault at Masham church. Besides his relatives, they were attended by most of his more intimate friends and neighbours, by his numerous tenantry, dependants, and labourers, and by a great multitude of persons from all parts of the parish, together with many strangers. The solemn and respectful demeanour of this large assemblage, and the affectionate sobs which frequently interrupted the service, proved how justly the many virtues of Mr. Danby were estimated by all, and how deeply he was beloved by those to whom he was best known having passed his long and useful life among them.
